What is Stripe Standard?

Stripe Standard allows you to connect your own Stripe account to process card payments directly. You are the legal seller and maintain full control over your merchant account, customer relationships, and payment revenue.

When to Use Stripe Standard

Stripe Standard is ideal if you:

• Already have a Stripe account or want to create one
• Want direct access to your payment revenue in your Stripe dashboard
• Need a direct relationship with Stripe for specific features
• Have an established business entity

Your Responsibilities

When using Stripe Standard, you take on full risk as the merchant of record. This means you are responsible for:

• Handling chargebacks and disputes directly with Stripe
• Customer support for payment-related issues
• Compliance with Stripe's terms of service

Setup Process

To connect your Stripe account:

1. Create a Stripe account if you don't have one
2. Get your API keys — Log in to your Stripe Dashboard → Developers → API keys
3. Navigate to Money → Processing → Stripe Standard
4. Enter your keys:
   • Publishable Key — Starts with pk_live_
   • Secret Key — Starts with sk_live_
5. Click Save & Activate — Your configuration is saved and activated immediately

Fee Structure

When using Stripe Standard, there are two fee components:

• Stripe fees — Charged directly by Stripe to your Stripe account
• DashNex service fee — Credits per order, deducted from your business credit balance

Your current DashNex service fee is displayed in Money → Processing → Stripe Standard.

Currency Settings

Once Stripe Standard is active, you can select which currencies to accept from the settings page. Add or remove currencies based on your customer base. Funds from card payments go directly to your Stripe account, and you manage withdrawals directly from your Stripe dashboard.

Managing Your Integration

From the Stripe Standard settings page, you can:

• Enable/Disable — Toggle Stripe Standard on or off without deleting your configuration
• Keep processing subscriptions — When disabling, you can choose to continue charging existing subscriptions
• Delete — Permanently remove your Stripe integration
